  • Investment: You must invest at least Rs 1,000 in your NPS account.

Remember, Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) cannot open an NPS account. Also, you cannot open an NPS account for someone else; it has to be in your name

  1. Visit the official eNPS website to start the registration process.
  2. Select the appropriate option under ‘New Registration’. You can register as an individual subscriber or a corporate subscriber.
  3. Enter your details such as PAN (Permanent Account Number), bank details, and choose your account type – Tier I or Tier II.
  4. : Complete your KYC (Know Your Customer) process using Aadhaar, Digilocker, etc.
  5. Make your initial contribution to the NPS account. The minimum amount is Rs 1,000.
  6. Review all the information, submit your application, and wait for the acknowledgment.

  1. Individuals aged between 18 and 65 years can apply for the NPS scheme.
  2. Visit the official website https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/ to download the registration form.
  3. : Fill in personal information such as name, father’s name, place of birth, etc., in the application form.
  4.  Enter details of your identity proof, which may include passport details and PAN card information.
  5. Provide details of your address proof and fill in your permanent address along with contact details.
  6.  Input your bank details for transactions related to the NPS account.
  7. NPS Option Details: Choose your preferred NPS option from the available choices.
  8. EPF Details: Provide any relevant EPF details if applicable.
  9. Declaration and Signature: Sign the declaration section of the form along with the date.

Payment and Photograph: Make an online payment of a minimum of 500 rupees towards your account. Also, upload a passport size photograph to the application form.
